Azerkorpu was first established in 1968 in Baku at the Ministry of Transport Construction of the USSR and commenced work under the name Mostootryad -100. During this period the enterprise gained experience in the construction of transport infrastructure in Azerbaijan. The business passed to republican control and began work at the Azernagliyatyoltikinti concern, following our country’s independence.

“Azerenergy” JSC, is the biggest power producer of the Republic and at the same time it takes the leader position in number and length of distribution networks and TL. At present, more than 200 s/s by 500, 330, 220 and 110 kV; “Mingachevir”, “Varvara”, “Shamkir”, “Yenikand”, “Araz” and “Vaykhir” Hydro Power Plants, “Azerbaijan”, “Shirvan”, “Shimal”, “Baku” TPC, “Babek”, “Astara”, “Shaki”, “Khachmaz”, “Nakhichevan”, “Baku”, “Sangachal”, “Shahdagh” and “Sumgait” Thermal Power Plants (TPP) are included to the Joint Stock Company. Construction of some new power plants and s/s, TL and capital reconstruction of available objects are planned, during near some years.

"Azpetrol" began its activity with the opening of its first petrol station in Tbilisi Avenue of Baku in July 15, 1997. At the end of that year the number of the petrol stations constructed became 8 and by growing one after another during the following years amounted to 70, 66 of which realize petrol and diesel fuel distribution and the other four stations are LPG retail distribution stations.
