The Azerbaijan State Museum of Art is a storehouse of the works of art beginning from the ancient period up to the present time. All kinds of art are completely represented here. The museum was founded in 1920 and at present it is situated in two old buildings, which were built at the end of the XIX centure.

Abdulla Shaig (Azerbaijani: Abdulla Şaiq) (25 February 1881, Tbilisi – 24 July 1959, Baku), born Abdulla Mustafa oglu Talibzadeh, was an Azerbaijani writer. Shaig was a romanticist and a children's author. His celebration of internationalism and pacifism earned him great success as a writer. Despite his academic work aimed at promoting Azeri culture and somewhat open anti-Stalinist views, he is not believed to have been persecuted by the state.

The ART group has begun its activity in 1995 as the ART salon - the first private art salon in Azerbaijan,which is located in an architectural building of 1872,at 7 M.Mukhtarov street. The light show-rooms of 100 and 40 square meters, the professional ascertaining system, and the specialized fitting out enable to organize expositions competently.
